Consumer Critiques

The PIR sensor works very properly. It scans just about every five seconds reacts very rapidly. I ordered added sensors to compliment the Air Alarm kit I ordered. The adjustability of the mounting makes it quick to aim once a mounting location is selected.
Of the three sensors, there is one that appears to have one undesirable trait. I'm unsure if it is unique to that sensor or if it is mainly because it is in a high traffic place or undesirable luck with 9V batteries. The PIR scans just about every five seconds according the manual and when it detects motion, it glows red. The sensor in question has used 3 9V batteries since it was mounted. The original battery did not final incredibly extended and I assumed it was given that it was a no name battery included with the unit. The second lasted three months and it did not glow "white" when the battery is low according to the manual. The red LED just would was not as bright as typical (it was a 9V that I had, but tested "beneficial" with the battery tester ahead of installed- so it could have been just negative luck with two batteries). It is on it's third battery in six months. That is the only concern that has come up given that the installation and so far just with a single of the three PIR sensors. The Air Alarm and sensors are not even 1 year old yet, but the PIR does function as stated.

When these function, they are awesome. I presently have five installed, and generally speaking, they function appropriately. Nevertheless, of the eight total that I have ordered, I have had issues with 3: 1 wouldn't turn on at all, one looked like it was turned on but wouldn't detect motion, and the third one particular detects motion inconsistently. I am returning the two that do not work at all (by way of Amazon) I'll update the assessment if there are any complications with the return.
