I've had my program for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that making use of greater excellent batteries than those provided will mean altering them closer to as soon as a year. I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they look somewhat tacky in my opinion. As an alternative, I got a couple additional motion detectors to deliver full coverage of my home. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do choose up my four pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I have not had any false alarms where I could not establish the lead to. There have been a few days exactly where I forgot to disengage the technique and walked ideal through the motion detection field. Clearly, I cannot blame that on the method.
Overall, I'd say this is an awesome technique for the cost. The manage pad looks kinda low-priced, so I didn't prominently display it in my house. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are incredibly little and unobtrusive. I've told family and close friends that I have the alarm system and most of them didn't have any concept, as the detectors blend in really nicely.
Hi absolutely everyone, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine two days ago. I set it up yesterday. Considering that the system comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only point i had to modify was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been adequate for me as that issue is as sharp as a needle. Due to the fact i have no pets and no kids i have mine on high and it is excellent. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing about with but they are operating fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode because the siren is tremendously loud, my ears had been ringing all night immediately after i had tested it. Then again i have wonderful comfort recognizing i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i really feel i am in danger. It is so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am extremely pleased with the technique. I'm told this a newer model, i am not rather sure how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anybody could tell me the difference that would be wonderful. All in all i am particularly happy with the method and i am giving it four stars for the reason that of how sharp the motion sensor is and because the siren is exceptionally loud. I sleep properly at night....especially nicely.
